Is your conversational style working for you?

In this week’s episode I will be talking about one of the three behavioural characteristics that underpin your commercial demeanour: Conversations. Conversations are how our thoughts, feelings and ideas are expressed, questions are asked and answered, and news and information are exchanged. Make no mistake the quality of your professional relationships is determined by the quality of your conversations.

Your conversations could be hindering your success and leadership presence without you even understanding why. Women are often misunderstood or prone to getting others off guard without knowing it.

This is generally because we can be more emotional by nature than men, and often wear our heart on our sleeve. The outcome is a disconnect between your intentions and how others perceive you, which detracts from your leadership presence. Try starting to be really present by actively listening and asking quality questions.
