What is executive presence and WHY does matter?

Despite contrasting styles of my clients, often they will all have one thing in common. At one point each was advised to develop stronger executive presence. What does it mean?

Executive presence has been that mysterious X factor in leadership. You might wonder if we need to have a definition for executive presence? Does it play such a significant role in our careers to merit a formalised definition?
